 The film that I chose was Spider-Man: Far from Home. This is an action, adventure, comedy, and superhero film that stars the main character of Spiderman, whose name is Peter Parker. In the first scene, it shows the company that produced this film, which was Columbia pictures, and shows the statue of the girl in the scene. Then, the film uses a graphic match cut to provide a scene of another statue in the middle of the desert where the actual film starts to take place and transitions into it. The scene then shows a car passing by very fast in front of the statue. It then provides an establishing shot of the setting by showing the large area of land around it. and then provides the name of the area which is Ixtenco, Mexico. It shows the car enter a city that has a lot of debris and looks like a battle recently had happened here. This use of a cut to the ruins shows the contrast in the open space of land, which the car was just in, to the hectic area of land that the car had entered,...

 Today, my group and I met up for our first meeting and discussed about our plan. I decided on creating a group with Matthew Nitipatkul and Tyler Morsani. We all had decided to complete a film and document the whole process, so we then decided to go with the idea of the film opening. I came up with a great film idea and explained it to my group mates for a good amount of time and they both agreed to my idea. I explained my idea about an action scene with a suspenseful introduction and then a large cliffhanger at the end. We will do a fight scene with me as the main character winning, Matthew and Tyler as the two kidnappers, and Tyler also dressed up at the girlfriend. The main idea is that the girlfriend (or her ex-boyfriend as we are not sure yet) is the mastermind behind the kidnapping as they have evil intent, and the cliffhanger will be a clue hinting to who really orchestrated the event. AICE Media Studies     AICE Media studies is a class that piqued my interest and was a very well-thought choice I made when i chose this class. I am very interested in learning about how movies and films are created and the behind the scenes of many different parts of a movie, such as how specific camera shots are taken and how different sounds may contribute to feelings in the viewer. Media has always interested me as a child as I still have a slight dream of becoming an actor and I am interested in the film industry since it would seem fun doing it. I am hoping to learn about the many different aspects which contribute to the making of a movie and I want to learn the more complex parts of the movie that viewers cannot see, such as how a director comes up with the different scenes. Film greatly piques my interest and I hope to learn the true workings of a film and the level of difficulty it may take to fully develop a movie.
