Discussing the Plot

Before filming our film this following weekend, my groupmates and I discussed the basic plot of the film opening and planned out how the composition and how it is going to go. I talked to Tyler and Matthew about the basic concept and how it will start with establishing shots of the neighborhood that I am walking in, and the setting of nighttime. Then, it is going to transition me into me as the main character walking down the sidewalk texting a person on my phone with a low angle showing my face and holding the phone and then a cut to a POV of me looking down at my phone texting. After that, Tyler will put a rag on my face and Matthew will pick me up. It will then have a cut transition where it seems to cut to black but it will actually be the inside of the garage at night. We will then turn on the lights to show the setting and I will be tied on the chair with tape on my mouth. Matthew will take off the tape and then I will say, "Who are you? What do you want from me?" They will stay silent and then the camera will show behind my back while I am talking to them and show me slipping out of the rope. Then, I will escape and create a fight scene with cut-on-action shots. At the end, it will show an angle next to Tyler laying on the floor holding his phone out and it will use a focus pull to show me in the background saying, "Who could possibly be behind this?" Then, the camera will do a Bird's Eye view of the phone and show a message saying, "Did you get him?" with the contact name of the person who I was originally texting. The scene will cut instantly to a black screen and put end-credit text on the screen.
